Ryan O'Connor
Founder, President & Portfolio Manager

Ryan O'Connor is the President and Portfolio Manager of Crossroads Capital, LLC. Prior to founding Crossroads, Ryan was a portfolio manager at the Three Arch Opportunity fund LP, a value-centric investment partnership based in San Francisco. Prior to that, Ryan co-managed portfolios at Whetstone Capital Advisors and Cush Capital Management, two Kansas City based investment partnerships focused on public equities investing.

Mr. O’Connor’s primary responsibilities included asymmetric idea generation, with a specific focus on uncovering undiscovered emerging franchises and catalyst driven special situations, as well as the formulation and execution of overall investment strategy and portfolio construction. Before life as a securities analyst, Ryan studied Economics at Indiana University (Bloomington), spent time as a top producing financial advisor for AG Edwards & Sons (now Wells Fargo) and an options trader on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

Ryan's proven history of generating compelling risk-adjusted returns has led to his membership in several elite investing associations, including Joel Greenblatt's Value Investors Club, a highly selective idea-sharing site where global membership is capped at 500 buy-side analysts. He has also been recognized by SumZero, the world's largest community of professional investors, as being in the top 1% of the approximately 12,000 buy-side analysts active on the site.

Justin Weiss, CFA
Partner & Managing Director

Justin Weiss is a Partner and Managing Director at Crossroads Capital. Prior to joining Crossroads, Justin worked at Kansas City-based Kornitzer Capital Management, where he was an analyst for the Buffalo International Fund (BUFIX), a mutual fund with over $250 million under management. Justin also worked in Tokyo as an equity research analyst for Japaninvest and Haitong International Securities.

Earlier in his career, Justin worked in mergers and acquisitions, first as an attorney at Skadden Arps, and then as an investment banking analyst at the former Wasserstein Perella, both in New York.

Justin received his bachelor's degree in Economics and East Asian Studies magna cum laude from Yale University, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He received his Juris Doctor degree cum laude from Harvard Law School.

Brian Myers
Special Advisor

Brian Myers is a Special Advisor to Crossroads Capital. Prior to working with Crossroads Capital, Brian was an investment analyst at S.A.C. Capital Advisors (now Point72 Asset Management), a multi-billion dollar hedge fund based in Greenwich, Connecticut. Prior to S.A.C., Brian worked for several years in the private equity industry as an investment professional for General Atlantic, a global growth equity firm managing approximately $15 billion of assets. While at General Atlantic, Brian served as Board Observer for several prominent portfolio companies, including Emdeon Business Services, a leading healthcare technology firm.

Brian began his career as a mergers and acquisitions analyst at the investment bank Lazard and worked for a number of years in the management consulting industry with the Boston Consulting Group and Bain & Co.

Brian received his bachelor's degree in Economics, cum laude, from Harvard College and his MBA from INSEAD, where he was a member of the Dean's List. He also attended the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po).

Erik Thoresen, CFA
Partner & Securities Analyst

Erik Thoresen is a Partner and Securities Analyst at Crossroads Capital. Prior to working with Crossroads, Erik was the COO of an asset management firm in the Boston area with $300 million dollars under management. Prior to that he ran Calaveras Capital, an outsourced Corporate Development consulting business, where he assisted several micro-cap companies with mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, and corporate and business partnerships.

Prior to forming Calaveras, Mr. Thoresen served as Vice President of Strategy and Development for Bank of New York Mellon, an asset management business; and was Vice President of Corporate Development for E*TRADE Financial where the business grew from from $300 million to more than $2 billion in Revenues during his tenure. As well, Mr. Thoresen worked at the U.S. Trade and Development Agency focusing on infrastructure projects in Central & Eastern Europe.

Mr. Thoresen received an A.B. from Syracuse University in International Relations, an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia’s Darden School, and has held the CFA designation since 2009.
